Lynn is a Chartered Management Accountant with over 25 years’ experience working for FTSE 100 companies across a range of industrial sectors. Her specialist fields were Corporate Audit and Internal Financial Controls.
Lynn joined the Board in late 2015 after taking early retirement. She is enthusiastic about the work of the NCF and pleased to be able to apply her professional skills for the benefit of the charity.
Amanda Farr DL
Amanda Farr works in the NHS as a clinical lead in primary care mental health services for Nottinghamshire. In the voluntary sector she supports mental health and child abuse charities. She is chair of East Notts NSPCC, a patron of Notts Rural support network and an ambassador for the MIND and RETHINK ‘Time to change’ anti mental health stigma campaign. She is a past chair of the Notts Mind Network and the Nottinghamshire Community Safety Trust. She was High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire 2010/11 which she used to highlight mental health issues and fundraise for mental health charities. She is a Deputy Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire.
Tom is a partner with Fraser Brown Solicitors, established for many years and now one of the largest independent law firms in Nottingham. Tom specialises in corporate finance work and acts for many established and emerging businesses. Advising on a range of corporate and commercial law issues, Tom has experience working with both larger and SME businesses, directors and business owners in a variety of sectors. He advises clients in manufacturing, engineering, leisure and retail, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, transport & logistics, professional services and other areas. A founder member of Nottingham Professional Services, Tom is keen to see all businesses support their local communities, and foster and promote the communities in which they operate.
Diana joined the Board in in 2012. She has worked in the fields of economic analysis and regeneration in a number of sectors including local government, higher education, private consultancy and a national trade union. She was an Executive Director at the East Midlands Development Agency. She is now an elected County Councillor representing Mansfield West.
She also Chairs the Board of New Perspectives Theatre Company, is a Director of Nottingham Regeneration Limited and is a Governor of Vision Nottinghamshire College and The University of Lincoln.
Veronica has worked with children & families and their communities in the UK and Africa as a Child Protection Specialist for the past 30 years.
Over the past 10 years Veronica has worked as an Advisor and Consultant to NGOs in East and West Africa.
Veronica is a Child Protection Committee member of the Association of International Schools for Africa (AISA) and she is also currently working as a Coach and Independent Consultant.
Coming from a background in Independent Financial Advice services, Kevin has a passion for Nottingham and has spent over 30 years supporting a wide range of voluntary and community projects both at an operational and at strategic levels.
He is a professional Will and Trust Adviser.
David Sneath DL
David Sneath served for 32 years as a full and part-time Employment Judge, 12 years as the Regional Employment Judge in Leeds. In a parallel career in the Army Reserve, he reached the rank of Colonel and became a Deputy Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire in 1998. He is a trustee of the Mercian Regiment, the Museum of the Mercian Regiment in Nottingham and of the site of the Regimental Memorial at Crich. He has supported the Mercian Benevolent Charity with fund raising to help bereaved families, the severely wounded and veterans of all ages.
Paddy Tipping is currently the Police Crime Commissioner for Nottinghamshire.
He resigned from Government in 2009 after 20 years as a member of parliament.
During his successful career as an MP he was the Chair of The Energy and Climate Change Select Committee and Deputy Leader of the House of Commons from 1998 to 2001 and again in 2007.
Nicky Weston DL
Mrs Weston is Honorary Colonel of Nottinghamshire Army Cadet Force and a Deputy Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire and was High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire 2013/14. She is also a trustee of National Crimebeat (affiliated to the High Sheriffs’ Association) and an ambassador for Nottinghamshire Hospice. Former member of the Nottinghamshire Board of The Prince’s Trust and Chairman of the Special Events Committee of Nottinghamshire Cancer Research UK. Past Chairman of Governors of S. Anselm’s Preparatory School in Derbyshire.
Nina Dauban, Chief Executive
Nina joined NCF in 2008 initially on secondment from Hettys. She has been working within the voluntary sector for over 30 years and has a wealth of local knowledge and experience. Nina set up her first charity at the age of 21 and has been representing the sector at board and executive level for over 15 years. Her passion for supporting the local community is well recognised and her commitment to charity and enterprise developments is highly respected across all sectors in Nottinghamshire.
Carla joined the team in 2011 as Administrator/PA to CEO. With over 20 years’ experience in office administration from secretarial and office management through to systems and quality management roles within a number of successful organisations. She is dedicated in supporting NCF to achieve it’s role as the modern day Robin Hood providing much valued help where it is needed within our local community.
Helen joins NCF as Donor Services Administration Officer with a wealth of experience in the hospitality, education and voluntary sectors. Helen has a passion for the local area and has volunteered to a number of different local charities and helped with fundraising and running successful projects.
Caroline joined NCF in 2017 as our Donor Services Administration Officer. Caroline has many years (39 haha!) of administration and accounting experience in the manufacturing industry. After being made redundant she coordinates grant applications on our website. She is excited to join the team and is enjoying her new role and the diversity of experience working with NCF.
Ruth Warren, Finance Officer
As an accounting technician Ruth works on a self employed basis for NCF and several other companies. She provides financial administration for our grant making, endowments, donations, banking and investments as well as management accounts for the NCF board.
Keith joined NCF in 2012 after taking early retirement from Gedling Borough Council. As a Senior Local Government Officer for over 20 years Keith brings a depth of understanding to customer care and trust management. Keith provides donor services to 3 of our donor funds and is our Lamb Trust Administrator.
