We are a dynamic, innovative organisation with long-term vision to establish a permanent, independent and flexible source of local funds, which can respond to changing community issues.
At Nottinghamshire Community Foundation we:
- Work closely with local grass-roots groups
- Demonstrate fairness and equity in all our processes
- Involve local people in decision-making
- Ensure priorities are based on current local knowledge
- Use formal and informal networks to reach marginalised communities
- Add value to current activities and demonstrate equality of opportunity
- Work in partnership with the community and voluntary sector to identify, support and develop local grants panels
Mission Statement
Nottinghamshire Community Foundations mission is to be the leader and one-stop-shop for all charitable giving needs in the county. It is a lynch pin for two groups of people who have the desire and ability to make a difference in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
- To our Donors: We are expert and trustworthy financial managers, processing and distributing grants on behalf of donors of charitable
and social funds, for individuals, companies and government agencies.
We are able to help fulfil peoples desire to give back to where they come from. - To our Community: We work with grass roots organisations, who understand the challenges and specific needs of their communities; who use their creativity, skills and talents to make a difference. We enable them by providing a complete service of funding, mentoring
and training.
Our mission is to build up a significant financial endowment to provide a sustainable resource for local people to find local solutions to local problems now and in Nottinghamshire’s future.
