The High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire Legacy Fund
supported by Nottinghamshire Community Foundation (NCF)
Every year the newly elected High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire fundraises and offers support to his or her chosen charities. Working in partnership with Nottinghamshire Community Foundation the High Sheriff is introduced to a range of local charities and community projects from which to choose.
Depending on available funds small grants are then made available to those chosen charities which come under the broader Community Safety Agenda dealing with any of the following:
These awards recognise individuals who have made a unique and significant contribution under the umbrella of Law and Order and who may have been overlooked despite their hard work. Anyone who is a volunteer or employee with a local charity or community group working in support of the broader Community Safety Agenda can be nominated and this could be related to a project dealing with any of the following:
- Criminal justice
- Domestic abuse
- Ex-offenders / victim support
- Homelessness
- Mental health
- Prostitution
- Substance misuse

The fund is not open to applications grants are awarded on a small donation basis.
