Hetty’s Hardship Fund
The fund is designed to support Kinship Carers who have taken on parental responsibility for their grandchildren, nieces or nephews as a result of them being removed from birth parents via Social Care. A small amount of charity funds are available for families in the 4 districts of North Nottinghamshire: Mansfield, Ashfield, Bassetlaw and Newark & Sherwood.
Individuals and families in extreme financial hardship can receive up to £100 per child from the fund.
All applications must be completed by an approved Hetty’s Support Worker.
Examples of needs fitting the criteria:
- Children’s clothes and equipment
- House move essentials
- Education essentials for children – computer etc
- Travel to funerals
